A VILLAGE SQUARE IS AN OPEN PUBLIC SPACE COMMONLY FOUND IN THE HEART OF A TRADITIONAL TOWN, USED FOR COMMUNITY GATHERINGS.
IN 21ST CENTURY TORONTO, IT IS A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE FROM MANY CULTURES COME TOGETHER TO IMAGINE, CREATE AND CELEBRATE THE NEW CITY.
Diasporic teams up with our partners at Thorncliffe Neighbourhood Office to produce 5 Saturdays of community creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. There will be cross-cultural music, dance, circus arts, visual art-making, delicious locally made food and artisanal creations.
Every other Saturday starting July 29 and building up to the Diasporic Genius Harvest Festival on Sept 23, we will meet in RV Burgess Park at 3 pm and populate the 21st Century Village Square with sound, colour and soul.
PLEASE JOIN US, SEE WHAT’S HAPPENING AND ADD YOUR OWN VOICE TO THE MIX!
